  • EnsembleIQ has launched Retail Leader Pro, a premium subscription service.
  • Subscribers will gain access to exclusive newsletters, roundtables, insights and analysis.
  • Retail Leader Pro’s Chief Retail Analyst will provide in-depth commentary and perspective, with an emphasis on consumer behavior and emerging retail trends.

EnsembleIQ, the parent company of Retail Leader, launched Retail Leader Pro this week, a premium subscription service the company said will provide retail professionals with exclusive critical insights and inside perspectives on developments and trends in the industry.

Retail Leader Pro subscribers will gain access to newsletters that focus on the outlet’s key areas of coverage, including retail trends, consumer behavior, the future of in-store experience and retail innovations, EnsembleIQ said in a release. RL Pro members will also receive access to a monthly trends report, called “Retail Lowdown,” as well as access to exclusive roundtable events, quarterly “State of the Industry” reports and all premium content.

“The retail sector is continuously disrupted, hyper-competitive, and inundated with information about constant changes in consumer demands, shopper preferences, product offerings, retail innovations, technologies, supply chain, mergers and acquisitions, labor, policy and regulation and the competitive landscape,” said Jennifer Litterick, CEO of EnsembleIQ, in the release. “Retail Leader Pro captures and filters all of this information, identifies the portion that’s most meaningful and relevant, analyzes it against consumer and industry sentiment, and delivers it in convenient, mobile-friendly formats—with clear explanations of what subscribers need to know, why, and how to act to grow their business.”

The B2B media company, which owns brands that include the Path to Purchase Institute (P2PI), Canadian Grocer and Convenience Store News, among others, said Craig Lowe would lead Retail Leader Pro as its senior vice president of Membership and Subscriptions. Lowe previously worked in audience marketing at Dow Jones.

Jessie Dowd will serve as editorial director for both Retail Leader and RL Pro. Dowd also serves as the editorial director of P2PI. Elizabeth Christenson, who previously worked at P2P2I, was tapped as the RL Pro editor, and Elizabeth Lafontaine, previously of the NPD Group, will work as the brand’s chief retail analyst, the release said. Kimberly Lucht, previously of the SANS Institute, was tapped as the vice president of marketing and Connor Perrett, who previously worked at Insider, will continue as the editor of Retail Leader, overseeing the brand’s free content.

Industry professionals who want to try RL Pro can sign up for a free 14-day trial. After that, individual subscribers can pay $349 a year. An annual team subscription for 10 people is available for $2,799.
